Top of the Hill Tavern

Some new staff faces along with great attitudes. New music was playing pretty much the entire time. I have been here in the past and honestly I did not think to highly of it, however I gave it a second chance as one day I was killing time and stopped to have a drink and maybe a bite to eat( wasn't too sure about this either). Well I was pleasantly surprised. I went in at about 2:00-2:30pm on a Sunday or a Monday. There was new bar staff, she was friendly and attentive. The music was WAAAAAY better than before, some oldies popped up now and then but it did not bother me as much as it did before because it was not repeated over and over. The menu was still pretty much the same but the bartender talked me into a deli style sandwich and I had quite a bit of choices for the selection of the items that went on it and it was fantastic and everything was fresh. Now they still have a lot of fried foods but I liked the selection for that also, so I might order some fried mushrooms or even give the gizzards a try( I know "who has that on their menu"......exactly "no one" that is why I have to try them someone said they were surprisingly tasty). The style or decorations for the place maybe could use a little refresh but they have around 5 TV's with the latest sports games, free pool on Sunday's and a great happy hour! Anyway, this place changed a lot from before and I will visit again. I want to thank the staff for good experience and the friendly patrons who are not scared to buy a newbie a drink or two. I am buying next time!! I will keep everyone posted.

They have great food! Really good cheese burger and fries for good deal! Plus a bomb and delicious lemonade! If you like good food good service there is a good place to go.! ...

I simply love this place! It's a dive but everyone is humble and fun. It is a melting pot on the top of 92nd. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the bartenders are fun and friendly, average bar fare and awesome drinks. Come in and meet a friend out of your normal common circle or take a rest from daily life either way you will find yourself in the midst of company, music, and respect.

Feel very lucky to be staying near this place. If you're in the area, ask for a Golden Delicious or PB&J. Great drinks! Probably my favorite bartender I've ever had. Prices are also really good in comparison with other bars in the area. Thanks for a great night out!

Basic Portland dive bar but that's what they are aiming for. Comfort. Decent strong drinks, usual bar food. I had tots but the basket was huge. They have karaoke, but I've never been there for that. Weekend nights get busy. Staff is always friendly. Multiple TV's usually playing sports.

It was a great place. I loved every minute of it. I wonder there and got some much-needed zoom

Always have fun when my family and I come here, the drinks are amazing! And Rick the karaoke maestro is awesome!!! And super cool and friendly. Both him and the bartender makes coming there a relaxed and fun time! Like my aunty likes to scream " come Fridays!!! It's the best day to go and the most lit" lol

Amazing place - very old school bar - ZERO teenagers or young punks present! Good food, and Bob is one of the very best bartenders in town!
